Although I would like to think that Iâm proficient in all areas of organizing, there is a section of the kitchen that always gets the best of me. The dreaded Tupperware cupboard has become my arch nemesis and itâs time we come toe to toe with one another. No matter how many times it gets purged and sorted, it always seems to end up in shambles. If you run into the same problem – feel free to join in on this Tupperware Party!
First, choose a cupboard or drawer that is easily accessible. This will make putting away all of the pieces that come with Tupperware easy, allowing you to take a more organized approach when doing so.
Then, discard any pieces that are bent out of shape or missing bottoms or lids. Warped covers, stained containers or cracked pieces donât need to take up any extra space you have. You most likely havenât been using them anyway.
Next, stack all matching sized container bottoms and lids. In order to conserve space, simply place the bottoms within one another and leave the corresponding lids to pile on top. All of the containers you use on a regular basis should remain at the front of the shelf and larger items for freezing to the back.
Finally, designate a shelf for all of the reusable water bottles and cups. Being able to see what you need, will allow you to keep the space organized. Remember the concept âless is moreâ when purging. Chances are you wonât be needing 10 of the same sized containers at once, so free up that space and live a little lighter!
Tupperware certainly has a way of multiplying, so take a moment every now and again to make sure itâs not piling up again. Nobody wants to be buried under 20 pounds of plastic when they open the cupboard to save leftovers from dinner!
