As the new school year begins next week, so will the numerous extra curricular activities. Keeping everything in order can be daunting, especially when each activity involves various necessities. Hockey, sport ball, karate, swim class and gymnastics are just a few examples of what keeps us occupied during evenings and weekends. They can also leave us flustered trying to keep it all in order. How can we minimize the stress of all the curricular âextrasâ?
One of best ways to keep each activity straight is to make sure there is a designated bag for each. By no means do you have to break the bank on a bunch of new knapsacks, just a reusable bag will suffice. This way, any item that needs washing can be placed right back into itâs appropriate place and not have a chance to get lost in the shuffle. Adding a label to each bag can make
things extra easy!
Assigning a hook or designated spot for each bag will also help the kids pack and organize for their activities alleviating stress for everyone involved. When you leave each childâs belongings accessible, yet orderly, it provides them the chance to be involved in organizing their own possessions.
Planning ahead each day always makes for a smoother transition from activity to activity. Make sure everything is accounted for at least 24 hours ahead â and that way everyone will be on time and prepared!
